As my love for art grew, I continued my passion at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I studied sculpture and performance art. Working with the human figure, sculpting with clay, wood, wire, metal, and found objects, was most impactful for me. Graduating from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1999. Since graduation, I have continued to create on different median platforms. My art has evolved. Creating linoleum block prints is also a very eco-friendly way to make art. I use water soluble block printing ink that is non-toxic, along with Carson 184 pound Art paper. I love the rich colors and immediacy of this art form.
I am inspired by nature, animals, plants, and the human figure. I enjoy doing yoga and going for jogs with my dog, spending time with my children, and gardening, in my spare time. I have a wonderful full-time career as a kindergarten teacher. Weekends, nights, and long holidays are my times to be creative and make art.
